Police say the 22-year-old driver was heading west on Queens Boulevard near Broadway in Elmhurst around 7:30 a.m. when he lost control of his 2014 Chevy Camaro, striking a phone booth, a lamp post and two parked cars before jumping the curb and hitting two men.

Police said Man Chit Cheng, 59, was pronounced dead at the scene and Mu Wang Lin, 41, was taken to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Both lived just blocks from the scene of the crash.
