WILLIAMSBURG — A mother's tuition check to a high-end preschool was stolen from the institution's office last week — and the check was cashed before the administration even notified the parent, reports show.

A $2,666 check to Williamsburg Northside School was stolen and cashed last Wednesday, and the Havemeyer Street school's director called the parent to tell her "an unknown person removed the check from the office and cashed it without permission or authority to do so," cops said.

"They are unsure who cashed the check," cops said of the school authorities. "It was taken from the office that was left open to employees."

The crime comes just a few weeks after staff of Williamsburg Northside School's daycare lost a child in a waterfront park.

A spokeswoman for the school did not immediately return calls or emails requesting comment.

The 94th Precinct is investigating the crime.
