Jermaine Jackson to Speak at Fairway Market in Red Hook

RED HOOK — He’ll be there – but he won’t be singing.

Jermaine Jackson, singer and older brother to Michael Jackson, will speak and sign autographs at Red Hook’s Fairway Market Nov. 6 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., the store announced Wednesday.

While the musician will not be delighting his fans with signature Jackson 5 songs like “I’ll Be There” and “ABC,” he’ll instead be talking about the world’s water crisis in support of Vita Water, an organization that helps provides clean water to communities around the world, according to their website.

Shakira Niazi, founder of the company that has built 14 “Vita Water wells” in countries like Afghanistan and Ethiopia, will also be present at Fairway.
