THE BRONX — A fire ripped through a two-story Melrose home Tuesday night, the FDNY said.

The blaze erupted about 11:21 p.m. within the East 158th Street home near Elton Avenue and raged for about 50 minutes before the more than 100 firefighters who responded brought it under control, an FDNY spokeswoman said.

Three firefighters were taken to Lincoln Medical Center and were treated for minor injuries, the FDNY said.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
