MANHATTAN — Cooler fall weather has convinced urban dwellers to don cold-weather accessories, and we've seen hats and scarves joining sweaters and jackets on the streets.
The key piece of news from those we spoke to is the return of old favorites and sentimental pieces. There were also looks purchased locally from street vendors and from the Marc Jacobs Collection in SoHo.
Hats look to be an early front-runner this season, ranging from a more fitted version of the 1990s classic knit skullcap in red and gray to fedoras in camel and cobalt blue.
Scarf looks ranged from well-coiled chunky knit cowl necks in muted shades of gray and plum to chic, voluminous scarves.
