MANHATTAN — Cooler temperatures have arrived, and New Yorkers are embracing knit looks in a variety of sizes, textures and colors.
Hues of gray appear to have the strongest street narrative — ranging from dark pewter crew necks to a silver thread, mixed gauge (stitch size) scoop neck style to aerated gauges with raglan sleeve details. The news is all about shades of gray.
White, burnished metallic and jade are anticipated to be very popular colors for spring 2014 and are already street news. We particularly like the variety of finishes in a look from Rebecca Taylor and a hand-cut and printed jersey blend by J.V.P. Melbourne, highlighting another ascending trend: large pattern florals.
