ASTORIA — A Neapolitan-style pizzeria in Queens is kicking off the start of its first brunch service on Sunday — and to celebrate, they're giving away free food.

Milkflower, which opened at 34-12 31st Ave. in Astoria in June and turns out artisanal wood-fired pies, will be offering customers a free item off the new brunch menu as way to say thank you to the neighborhood.

"We've had such a great turn out from the community and the neighborhood and everything, we decided to give a free brunch," said owner Peter Aggelatos, 35, who opened the restaurant with his brother Danny Aggelatos, 28.

"We feel like we wanted to give back."

Brunch service will kick off Sunday and be offered every weekend from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and includes starters like homemade granola with Greek yogurt and fresh fruit and brunch-friendly pizzas, like one topped with Brussels sprouts, truffle oil and a poached egg.

"We kind of worked around all the pies to work as a brunch item," Peter Aggelatos said.

The brothers also emphasize farm-fresh ingredients in their food, with many of them coming from local rooftop farm Brooklyn Grange or from green markets.

Milkflower is the brothers' first restaurant, though the two have worked in the food industry for years — Danny has been making pizzas and Peter worked front of the house at other restaurants.

In addition to brunch, they plan to eventually open up  for lunch on weekdays. The eatery is currently closed on Mondays and open for dinner on Tuesdays through Fridays from 5 p.m. on.

"We wanted to make sure we got a hold of everything that was going on, and make sure the food quality was where we want it to be," said Peter Aggelatos.

"Brunch is the next step."
