Street Chic was a guest this week at “Natoriwood,” a tribute to iconic beauty and a well-dressed take on Hollywood style by designer Josie Natori.
Natori, a name synonymous with luxury at home and intimate apparel since 1977, has been steadily expanding its brand into the high-end ready-to-wear market. The Spring 2014 collection used accented coral, fuchsia, yellow and magenta in airy light silk, jersey and foiled fabrications.
Street Chic liked the rich take on '30s glamour and taste, such as wide-flowing seaside pants and bias cut dresses. We also noted a unique take on Ikat textiles, a nod to the era's lingering fascination Orientalism and exotic motifs. We also like the accessories an ideal touch of Nancy Cunard glamour.
