NEW YORK CITY — Relatively few subway lines will undergo construction over the Labor Day weekend, leaving service on many trains blissfully untouched as the city empties out.

Ongoing MTA work will continue to affect the N and R lines between Manhattan and Brooklyn, but the connection between Queens and Brooklyn on the G train will remain open.

Here's the service changes for each line:

1 Line: Downtown trains will run express from 72nd Street to Times Square-42nd Street due to cable work from Friday at 11:45 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Monday.

2 Line: Downtown trains will run express from 72nd Street to Times-Square 42nd Street at night starting from 11:45 p.m.

3 Line: Train service will be extended to 34th Street-Penn Station at nights starting at 11:45 p.m. Also, service at Eastern Parkway, Church Avenue and Utica Avenue stations may be disrupted starting at 7 p.m. on Sunday due to the West Indian-American Day Parade.

A Line: Uptown A trains will run express from Canal Street to 59th Street-Columbus Circle on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday nights starting at 11:45 p.m. because of track tie renewal work.

Also, from 3:45 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. on Sunday, Lefferts Boulevard-bound A trains skip 104th Street and 111th Avenue due to track panel work.

C Line: Uptown trains will run express from Canal Street to 59th Street-Columbus Circle from 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday due to switch renewal work.

E Line: Jamaica Center-bound E trains will be rerouted over the F line from 2nd Avenue to 21st Street-Queensbridge and downtown-bound E trains will be rerouted along the F line from West 4th Street to 2nd Avenue from 11:45 p.m. on Friday to 5 a.m. on Tuesday.

There will also be no E trains between World Trade Center and West 4th Street. Riders should take the A or C instead.

L Line: There will be no L train service between Lorimer Street and Broadway Junction because of ongoing track tie work. The L will operate in two sections: between 8th Avenue and Lorimer Street and between Broadway Junction and Rockaway Parkway.

Free shuttle buses will provide service between Lorimer Street and Broadway Junction.

R Line: Ongoing Sandy recovery work will shut down the R train between Court Street in Brooklyn and Whitehall Street in Manhattan. Weekend R service will be rerouted over the Manhattan Bridge.

N Train:  Ongoing Sandy recovery work will shut down the N train between Court Street in Brooklyn and Whitehall Street in Manhattan. Late night N service will be rerouted over the Manhattan Bridge.

Coney Island-bound N trains will be rerouted over the D line from 36th Street to Stillwell Avenue due to track work from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. on Tuesday. For 45th, 53rd and 59th Streets, riders should take the R.

Coney Island-bound N trains will also skip 30th Avenue, Broadway, 36th Avenue and 39th Avenue from 11:5  p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

Q Train: Until December, Manhattan-bound Q platforms at Cortelyou Road, Beverly Road and Parkside Avenue will be closed for station component work.
