MANHATTAN — Time's running out for a man who cops said stole a pricey Rolex from a Columbus Circle watch store Wednesday.
The suspect asked a clerk at the Tourneau watch shop at 10 Columbus Circle to let him try on Rolex's gold "Day Date II" timepiece about 3 p.m., according to the NYPD.
But after the clerk fastened the watch around the suspect's wrist, he fled the store, police said.
Investigators released photos of the man wearing a large yellow polo shirt and a yellow Miami Heat baseball cap.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
