DUMBO — Forget sweeping views of the Lower Manhattan skyline, this viewfinder gives spectators a closer look at the history and culture of the neighborhood under the Manhattan Bridge.

Sponsored by the DUMBO Business Improvement District and designed by local design firm Pensa, the newly installed solar-charged viewfinder plays a short video featuring images of DUMBO's most popular hotspots.

The film gives onlookers a peak at how the Archway under the Manhattan Bridge once looked and a look at the history of the Brooklyn Roasting Company's building and Galapagos Art Space. It also shows Jane's Carousel moving at three times its actual speed and features present day local businesses.

The viewfinder is located in Old Fulton Plaza at Water Street.
