KEW GARDENS — A  pair of muggers demanded cash from a man on Jamaica Ave. and then punched him after he didn't turn over enough money, cops said.

The duo approached the 59-year-old man near Jamaica Avenue and 134th Street about 11 p.m. on July 29th, according to the NYPD. He gave them his handed over his cash and phone and said he had nothing more, prompting one of them to punch him, police said.

The wallop sent him careening into the ground where he hit his head, cops said.

The duo dashed away and their victim was rushed to Jamaica Hospital in stable condition, police said.

Police said the suspects were in their 20s and about 5 feet 10 inches.

One was last seen wearing a black skull cap with an all black outfit. The other wore dark pants with a lighter button-down shirt.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
