GRAMERCY — A British-inspired pub is coming soon to 14th Street, serving traditional dishes including steak and kidney pie.

The Winslow is set to open by Sept. 15 in the former Hype Lounge space at 243 E. 14th St., between Second and Third avenues, according to the pub’s spokesman.

“We’re still in the conceptual stage,” said Kyle Hulcher, the pub’s spokesman, who declined to give additional details.

The pub’s menu features a variety of beer-friendly appetizers, including pickled beets, salt cod mash, mussels, grilled octopus and a variety of cheese boards, according to The Winslow’s website — which was available earlier this week but was taken down on Tuesday afternoon shortly after DNAinfo reached out to the pub for more details.

“Main dishes incorporating British and American flavors will serve [as] an added bonus to the overall experience, highlighting traditional meals such as fish & chips, scotch eggs, steak and kidney pies, and crumpets, along with seasonal favorites,” the website said, before it was taken down.

The menu also features a signature cheddar burger and side dishes that include Yukon mash, fat chips, mushy peas and bubble and squeak, a traditional vegetable dish.

The Winslow, which will have a 20-foot bar with a concrete top and high seating, plans to offer regular happy hours and drink specials and will be open weekdays from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m., according to the website.

The pub has also applied for a sidewalk cafe with three tables and 12 seats, according to a letter from Community Board 6, posted on the pub's door.

The new bar and restaurant will be managed by Aidan Gogarty, Mark Tafoya and Jeff Winslow. Mixologist Dominic Venegas will be creating the cocktail menu, according to the website.

The pub was expected to open in August, according to its website and Facebook page, but it was pushed back to Sept. 15, Hulcher said.

“Construction’s taking a little longer than we hoped,” he said.
