MIDTOWN — Let the sunshine in.

The Blarney Rock Pub, one of Midtown's longest-running Irish bars, officially unveiled its open-air rooftop bar near Madison Square Garden earlier this month.

"The young people, they want to be outdoors in nice weather," owner Tom Dwyer said. "Its a way for people who are staying in the city during the summer to unwind."

The space has a curved retractable roof and brick walls, plus a full bar and multiple TVs, which Dwyer said will be used to host viewing parties for Knicks and Rangers games.

The 44-year-old pub, barely a block from MSG and Penn Station, held a soft opening for the rooftop space in June. It officially announced the opening July 19, just as the city's scorching heat wave was starting to break.

"We were walking by and we just saw it," attorney Eric Garcia, 32, said, drinking beers at the bar with three friends recently. "It's a great addition."
