DUMBO — The neighborhood may have sweeping Manhattan views, a world-class waterfront park and picturesque industrial-era architecture — but what it doesn't have is a place to get a simple turkey club and fries.

But one local dad is determined to change that.

Joe Quint, 46, started a Facebook page called "DUMBO Needs a Diner," and in less than 24 hours has received several emails and more than 40 "likes" in support of his campaign for a greasy spoon.

"I think I struck a nerve," he said. "Sure, sometimes you want the "smoked salmon, beets, avocado, cucumber, red onion, sprouts and crème fraiche on pumpernickel" from Almar (a great restaurant on Front Street) but sometimes you just want a $7.00 cheese omelette with french fries."

Quint hopes that his page will "catch the eye of someone who was looking for a good space to rent... and to let them know it would a worthwhile endeavor to check out DUMBO."

The DUMBO-based photographer suggested the old Bubby's Brooklyn spot as a potential location.

But address aside, he just wants a place where everyone knows his name and his son can get his favorite "Lumberjack" breakfast  — scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, pancakes, potatoes and toast — without having to leave the neighborhood.

"You want to roll out of your apartment and slide into your favorite booth... and see all the familiar neighborhood faces," he said. "That's the diner experience."
