HELL'S KITCHEN — It's a monster battle royale in the heart of the city.

A group of fighters dressed as kaiju — Godzilla-like costumed monsters — will descend on Hell's Kitchen's Studio 48 for a night of city-stomping fun Saturday.

Kaiju Big Battel's Brawl in the Family will feature 30 monsters who fight each other for the title of top destroyer as they pound their way through cardboard buildings. The fights will pit villains, alien beasts, giant bugs and a walking can of soup against one another.

The fast-paced fights are inspired by the larger-than-life monsters made famous by Japanese films like "Godzilla" and "Mothra." Most recently, the monsters made the spotlight in the summer blockbuster "Pacific Rim."

Kaiju Big Battel has put on the monster matches for nearly a decade.

Saturday's competition is fierce, featuring a factory-worker-turned-soup-can named Kung-Fu Chicken Noodle, the blue alien Sky Deviler, Uchu Chu the Space Bug and the villainous, square-headed Dr. Cube.

An arm-wrestling tournament will also pit the well-muscled mutant Monger King up against long-eared Dusto Bunny.

A couple of humans will also get to participate in the city-smashing action, including the mysterious Kaiju commissioner, a mustachioed referee named Jingi, and Anthony Salbino, an urban renewal expert whose job is to rebuild destroyed "cities" in between bouts.

Brawl in the Family kicks off at 7 p.m. on July 20 at Stage 48, 605 W. 48th St. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $20 and available online
