NEW YORK CITY — Cops are looking for five people they say were involved in a string of robberies in the Claremont, Kingsbridge Heights and Parkchester sections of The Bronx in June.
On June 21 and 27, a man and woman robbed three women at gunpoint across the borough, according to the NYPD.
Two other men acted as lookouts in one robbery and a woman was spotted using a victim's credit cards, police said.
In the first robbery, a man shoved a gun in the face of a 40-year-old woman while his female accomplice snatched the bag from the victim's shoulder about 9:30 a.m. on June 21st, cops said.
A woman dressed in white was caught on surveillance camera using that first victim's credit card, police said.
Then on June 27, the duo robbed a 49-year-old woman near Sedgwick Avenue and Perot Street about 6:50 a.m. before robbing a 22-year-old woman down near East 173rd Street and Mount Eden Parkway an hour later, according to cops.
The gunman, whom police describe as 6-feet-tall and slim, was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt, a red baseball cap and sunglasses.
His stick-up partner was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and black slacks and thought to be about 5-feet-5-inches tall, cops said.
One lookout was decked in a red hat and shirt and thought to be about 6-feet-tall while the other is about four inches shorter and was last seen wearing a burgundy T-shirt, black shorts and a multi-colored baseball cap, cops said.
