Thief Tries to Swindle $25,000 From Radegast Beer Hall, Cops Say

WILLIAMSBURG — A thief forged a $25,000 check from the popular beer hall Radegast Biergarten, cops said.

The check was written June 25 from the NorthThirrd Street bar, but a bank caught the forgery so did not cash the payment, the police report said.

The owners of Radegast did not immediately respond to request for further details.
