UPPER EAST SIDE — Cops are on the hunt for a suspect they believe robbed a neighborhood bank last week, according to the NYPD.
The man walked into the Capital One Bank at 1130 Third Ave., near East 63rd Street, on Thursday about 5:30 p.m. and passed a note to a teller demanding cash, police said.
The man then fled on foot with cash, police said.
Cops describe the suspect as weighing some 150 pounds and standing 5-foot-8-inches tall.
He also has graying goatee, they said.
The man was last seen wearing a red and blue baseball cap with the letter A on it, a dark T-shirt, blue denim shorts, white sneakers and black eyeglasses, police said.
Police ask anyone with information related to the robbery to call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS. The public can also leave tips online, or text them by dialing 274637 (CRIMES) and entering TIP577.
