SOHO — The heat is on, and the fashion conscious urban dweller is wearing black. Street Chic has taken note of black looks hitting the city street in the past, the noted difference this season are highlighting trends in texture and finish, such as fringe, raised knit patterns and polished cotton. We also noted some looks with a dash of rocker edge.
Black is always news to New Yorkers and this summer it is a top summer pick. We liked the looks we spotted, from flowing sheer skits to sheer long sleeve shirts and tank tops. We also liked the classic short tailored in inky blue-black dress on Prince Street.
Street Chic took note that the finishing touch with ‘heat-wave black’ is the lace up or buckle boot worn with heavy black socks, it seems to be very directional if it is undone and distressed.
Kira is a student and a model represented by Wilhelmina Model Management. Street Chic liked how she turned her post-pilates look into a fashion statement with distressed buckle boots.
