MIDTOWN EAST — 50 United Nations Plaza, a 44-story condo building expected to be completed next year, offered a sneak peak of the building’s interior and views at a topping-off ceremony Thursday.

The 88-unit tower is still under construction, but the concrete structure is finished and the developers are already looking for prospective buyers for its multimillion-dollar apartments.

The building will include one- to three-bedroom apartments, full-floor homes and a penthouse with 10,000 square feet of space, a terrace and a private outdoor pool.

The developer said prices for the condos have not been set, but Bloomberg News recently reported that one-bedrooms will start at $2.8 million, two-bedrooms will range from $3.6 million to $9.4 million, and the penthouse will go for a whopping $55 million.

“As this new architectural residential landmark designed by Foster + Partners moves forward, we are excited to see great interest from potential buyers who view New York City as the world’s premier destination in which to live and work,” said Arthur Zeckendorf, co-chairman of Zeckendorf Development, LLC.

The $500 million tower offers sweeping views of the East River, Long Island City and Midtown East, and amenities include a private landscaped garden and an exercise pool. There will also be more than 5,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space.

The building is expected to be done in late 2014.
