HELL'S KITCHEN — Authorities nabbed one of two men who allegedly went on a bank-robbing spree through Midtown, crashed a getaway car into a building, then tried to flee on foot into the Lincoln Tunnel on Thursday afternoon.

The second suspect is still at large and authorities were searching for him Thursday evening, sources said.

The pair's wild ride kicked off after they hit up multiple banks around Midtown, sources said.

The suspects then made their escape in a green Ford Taurus station wagon, which they crashed into 21 Penn Plaza at West 31st Street and Ninth Avenue, according to reports, then fled on foot toward the Lincoln Tunnel in the hopes of giving cops the slip. The Taurus had New Hampshire plates, sources said.

Port Authority Police Officer Josh Maarleveld was returning to New Jersey when he noticed plainclothes NYPD officers chasing the suspect at the approach to the Lincoln Tunnel, a Port Authority spokesman said.

Maarleveld managed to grab the suspect and cuff him with the help of the NYPD officers.
