ELM PARK — A Staten Island woman was stabbed and a man suffered head injured after a brawl erupted outside an Elm Park home after an argument about an eviction, officials and witnesses said.

The fight started in front of 262 Pulaski Ave. before 10 a.m. when the landlord of the apartment attempted to evict his tenant, said a man who works near the apartment but did not want to give his name.

"Everybody got hurt," said the man about the brawl, which he said included around five to six people. "Everybody was bleeding."

Another man who works near the place and also didn't want to give his name, said the landlord and tenant were screaming, but eventually friends of the two got involved and it broke into a large fight.

"It was just chaos," he said about the fight.

He said he saw one man get smashed in the head with either a pipe or a hammer — it was hard to tell in the scuffle — and a woman get stabbed with a screwdriver.

Fire officials said they responded to the call at 10:12 a.m., and transported the two victims to Richmond University Medical Center. A female had a stab wound and a man had head trauma, the officials said.

NYPD officials did not immediately have information on the case, but both witnesses said several people were taken from the scene in handcuffs.
