THE BRONX — A woman was hospitalized after jumping on to the tracks of the 149th Street-Grand Concourse Station Monday morning, an MTA spokesman said.

The woman, whose identity was not immediately released, jumped into the uptown tracks of the 2 and 5 trains about 11:15 a.m., according to FDNY and MTA spokesmen.

The woman was not hit by a train, but sustained injuries from her fall, officials said.

She was rushed to Lincoln Hospital in serious but stable condition, FDNY said.

Service was temporarily disrupted on the 2 and 5 lines but resumed a short while later, according to the MTA's website.

The MTA advised commuters to expect delays.
