LOWER EAST SIDE — A van backed into a woman walking on a Lower East Side sidewalk Thursday afternoon, seriously injuring her, and then crashed through a store window, witnesses and officials said.

The vehicle hit the 23-year-old woman as she exited A. Feibusch Garments, at 27 Allen St. between Canal and Hester streets, about 12:40 p.m., causing her "multi-injury trauma," the FDNY said.

The woman was rushed to Bellevue Hospital. Her condition was not immediately available, FDNY officials said.

The NYPD did not immediately have information on the incident.

Jeff Feibusch, who owns A. Feibusch Corp., said the van reversed into the victim and then careened through the shop's front window.

"[The driver] got in the car and she floored it in reverse," he said.

Feibusch said the victim seemed shocked after she was hit.

"She was shaken," he said. "She was traumatized."
