Elderly Bicyclist Struck and Killed in Bath Beach, Officials Say

BROOKLYN — An elderly cyclist was struck and killed by an SUV in Bath Beach Monday afternoon, authorities said.

Mai Zhang, 74, was biking south on Bay 26th Street about noon when a white Nissan Murano heading north on Benson Avenue slammed into him, according to the NYPD.

Zhang was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver remained at the scene and was not charged in the incident.
