MIDTOWN — If at first you don't succeed, try, try again — especially when it comes to selling a $100 million Midtown apartment.

The nine-figure City Spire penthouse on 56th Street near Sixth Avenue, listed as "the highest terrace residence in the United States," went back on the market Thursday, three months after being removed from the listings when it failed to find a buyer, Curbed.com reported.

Owner and real estate magnate Steven Klar reportedly re-posted the sale on his own, which Curbed notes could make it "the first ever $100 million For Sale By Owner listing."

Designed by Klar himself, the 8,000-square-foot triplex is bedecked with Roman-style busts and columns and ornate marble floors.

High-flying residents will be able to spread across six bedrooms and nine bathrooms, and take advantage of a wine cellar, separate maid quarters, a private elevator and, as helpfully noted by StreetEasy.com, a dishwasher and "live-in super" in the building.

A call placed to the Klar organization Thursday afternoon was not immediately returned.
