GRASMERE — The Staten Island nanny caught on camera smacking a 5-month-old baby in the face pleaded guilty on Monday in Staten Island Criminal Court.

Mamura Nasirova, 52, pleaded guilty to the charges after she was arrested in February when the parents of the 5-month-old girl and her 17-month-old brother gave police nanny cam footage of Nasirova “hurling these defenseless children around like rag dolls,” a law enforcement source said.

Portions of the video uploaded to YouTube by user topsellers2 shows Nasirova slapping the younger baby in the face after Nasirova tried to feed her with a bottle while the other child sits on a couch nearby. The video also shows Nasirova shaking the baby, then violently lifting her from the chair and walking away before it ends.

Other parts show Nasirova slamming the boy in the couch several times and hitting him in the body with a bottle, court papers said.

The family installed the nanny cam hidden inside a carbon monoxide detector before Nasirova was hired, but turned them on when the mother had a feeling something was wrong, NBC 4 New York reported.

The parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roman Mardakhaev, were not home at the time the video was shot but rushed back when they saw the live stream, NBC said.

Nasirova pleaded guilty to 2 counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and will be sentenced to 10 months in jail on Tuesday, District Attorney Dan Donovan's office said.

Since Nasirova is a native citizen of Uzbekistan, and her visa is expired, the DA will send the plea minutes to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement because she is deportable for this convictions.
