NEW YORK CITY — Emergency responders rushed to a Hell's Kitchen building on Thursday after getting a call that a construction worker was struck by a beam, authorities said.
The incident happened at 530 W. 44th St. about noon, officials said.
The worker was taken to Bellevue Hospital with leg trauma, in serious but stable condition, an FDNY spokesman said.
The building is owned by the School Construction Authority, according to Department of Buildings records.
