Two Dead in Bronx Fire, FDNY Says

CASTLE HILL — Two men were killed when a blaze tore through a Bronx apartment building on Wednesday morning, authorities said.

The fire started in the house at 2045 Story Ave., near Olmstead Avenue, around 11:30 a.m., FDNY officials said.

Sixty-five firefighters responded to the scene and brought the blaze under control at 11:52 a.m., authorities said.

The bodies of the two unidentified men were found inside the house after the fire was extinguished.

It was not immediately clear what sparked the fire.
