NEW YORK — A fuel spill shut down the Lincoln Tunnel's westbound lanes for about an hour Monday evening, snarling traffic.
The New Jersey-bound part of the tunnel was closed as of 9:25 p.m., after a bus spilled diesel fuel, according to a Notify NYC alert and the Port Authority.
"All traffic from Manhattan must use the Holland Tunnel," the alert said. "Expect heavy delays."
The tunnel fully reopened at 10:25 p.m., officials said.
