LONG ISLAND CITY — Come this weekend, Queens eatery Rest-au-Rant will be getting things off to an earlier start.

The popular Long Island City wine bar, located at 30-01 35th Ave., is breaking out a new brunch menu Saturday, branching out from its cheese plates and hot tapas standards and opening at 11 a.m. instead of 4 p.m. on weekends.

The new menu includes brunch standards like Huevos Rancheros and a vegetarian egg benedicts, but also some unique options, like the $12 "Elvis Breakfast" — two flaky croissants stuffed with peanut butter, bananas, bacon and drizzled honey.

The menu includes a decadent twist on the grilled cheese sandwich: Rest-au-Rant's $18 version comes stuffed with boneless beer-braised short ribs and a fried egg, served with salad and a side of fries.

Other options are a Maine lobster roll served with parmesan-crusted corn on the cob for $16, and a Belgian waffle topped with fried apples, spiced whipped cream and maple syrup for $11.

Brunch entrees come with a complimentary bellini, mimosa, or bloody mary. The full menu can be found here.
