Cops Hunt for Brooklyn Man for Stabbing Death of Girlfriend

BROOKLYN — Police are searching for a Brooklyn man who they believe stabbed his ex-girlfriend in broad daylight in the lobby of her Bedford-Stuyvesant group home.

Benjamin Braxton, 49, began quarreling with Raynell Howington, 48, in the foyer of 330 MacDougal Street near Broadway around 2 p.m., police said.

"The dispute escalated into the suspect cutting the victim with an unknown object and kicking the victim while she was on the floor," cops said.

Emergency Medical workers found the victim bleeding from multiple stab wounds, police said. 

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

No arrests had been made as of early Friday evening, and police said that the investigation was ongoing.
