MIDTOWN — Strike up the tubas and grab your lederhosen.
The twin brothers behind respected suds staples Hop Devil Grill in the East Village and the now-closed David Copperfield's on the Upper East Side are planning to open a German bierhaus and grill on West 37th Street next week.
Reichenbach Hall, located between Fifth and Sixth avenues, will serve 14 draft beers, plus select European wines, liquors, and a host of German dishes, ranging from bratwurst and sausage to dumplings and schnitzel.
"We're stoked about doing a lot of great German food," said Keith Reichenbach, 48, whose grandparents hail from Stuttgart and Berlin.
"We've been slightly inspired by everybody else who's done this," he continued. "We like what the guys did with Radegast [in Williamsburg]. We like Bohemian [in Astoria]. It's fun to sit in a big hall at big tables with good beer, good conversation, and good food."
Once the bar opens, more than 200 frauens and maenners at a time will be able to belly-up to any number of heavy wood tables, benches and stools handmade in-house.
"It was a dusty restaurant for a while," Keith said with a laugh.
There won't be live music, but Keith said he and his brother, Willy, may consider bringing in an Oompah-band for Oktoberfest.
"This is our first real big project," Keith said. "We're just looking forward to getting going next week."
