MIDTOWN — A person was hit by an E train in Midtown Thursday evening, officials said.

The person was struck by a northbound E train at the 53rd Street-Seventh Avenue station just before 8 p.m., FDNY officials on the scene said.

The victim's condition was not immediately known.

After the incident, northbound E trains were running on the F line from West Fourth Street to Roosevelt Avenue, and northbound B and D trains were bypassing the station, the MTA said.
