INWOOD — After a long hiatus, La Marina restaurant and bar is preparing to reopen.

The waterfront hotspot, which was closed for most of the winter after owners said it suffered damage after Hurricane Sandy, will be back in business on April 5, the club announced to fans on Facebook.

"11 days until La Marina NYC opens its doors again ushering in the spring and summer season with new menu items, drinks, music, and other surprises," read a post on La Marina's page Monday afternoon.

The popular bar, which opened its doors last July, has been shuttered since Jan. 3. The restaurant cited the need to repair damage from the hurricane in October as the reason it closed its doors.

In its first year, the Dyckman Street club was a magnet for several celebrities to the neighborhood, but also drew the ire of several area residents who complained of dense traffic and overcrowding issues.

Some residents questioned the timing of La Marina's closing after Hurricane Sandy, saying it was likely due to slow business rather than damages.
