MANHATTAN — A man was critically hurt after being struck by a 1 train in Harlem Friday evening, officials said.
The man, who appeared to be about 50 years old, was hit at 8:07 p.m. on the downtown platform at the 145th Street station, at Broadway, the FDNY said.
He was rushed to St. Luke's Hospital with life-threatening injuries, the FDNY said.
After the incident, southbound service on the 1 train was suspended between 168th Street and 96th Street, while northbound service was suspended between 137th Street and 168th Street, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority said.
