QUEENS — Two Queens luxury condos were among the top selling buildings in the city last year — with dozens of units in each being snapped up, according to a report released earlier this month.
Sky View Parc in Flushing and The Industry in Hunters Point come in at 6th and 8th, respectively, on Property Shark's top 10 buildings in the city with most units sold in 2012, which collects the data based on the date the deed was recorded with the city, a representative from the website said.
Sky View, which the report lists in "Corona Park" but which QueensNYC.com correctly points out is in Downtown Flushing at 40-28 College Point Blvd., sold 74 units in 2012, with a median price of $545,000, according to the report.
According to the building, which uses a measure different from the one in the study, it closed on 134 units in 2012, a rep said.
The building also houses Sky View Center, an 800,000 square-foot mall, according to the building's website.
Sky View Park, which has apartments ranging in size from studios to 3-bedrooms, features a rooftop garden, health club and spa and outdoor sports facilities among other amenities.
Hunters Point's The Industry, at 21-45 44th Drive, was developed by Silvercup Studios founders Stuart and Alan Suna, and sold 64 units in 2012, with a median price of $525,000, the report says.
The building offers studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom condos, as well as terraced penthouses, according to sales agent Modern Spaces.
Topping the list was Williamsburg's the Edge, at 34 N. 7th St., which sold 167 units at a median price of $804,418, followed by the Sheffield at 322 W. 57th St. in Midtown, which sold 102 units at a median price of $1,453,231, despite a nasty kitchen oil spill late last year which led to fumes and noisy cleanup for residents.
The highest price-per-unit was at the Aldyn, 60 Riverside Blvd, one of Carmelo Anthony's four Upper West Side apartments, which fell between Sky View and The Industry on the list at number 7. Units at the tony building sold for a whopping $2,780,101.
