MIDTOWN — A man was seriously injured after falling off scaffolding on Fifth Avenue Friday morning, authorities said.

The victim suffered trauma to his head after falling off a scaffold at 475 Fifth Avenue, an office building near 41st Street, just after 11 a.m., an FDNY spokesman said.

The man was transported to Bellevue Hospital in serious condition, the spokesman said, but his injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

There are 39 open violations listed at 475 Fifth Avenue, including one for work without a permit, according to the city Department of Buildings website.
