NYPD Sergeant Arrested For License Plate Flipper on His Car, Cops Say

NEW YORK CITY — An NYPD sergeant was arrested Tuesday for equipping his car with a mechanism that can hide his license plate, cops said.

Sgt. Grigoriy Bardash, 32, an 11-year-old veteran, was charged with obstructing governmental administration, police said.

The device he allegedly installed, which is often used in popular espionage films, obscures the license plate by flipping it over and can help drivers avoid being easily recognized.
