NEW YORK — The Off-Broadway Alliance is preparing to launch its bi-annual bargain for theater-goers, offering discounted tickets to shows at the last minute.
The tickets for 40 different shows will be $20 when purchased 20 minutes before the curtain goes up.
a wide variety of performances will be available from Jan. 22 to Feb. 10.
“Just show up 20 minutes before curtain to purchase available $20 tickets at the box office,” said Peter Breger, chairman of the non-profit Off Broadway Alliance, which has been running the promotion for the past seven years. “Here’s your chance to catch up with shows you may have missed, get a sneak peek at the newest hits or revisit a favorite show — all for just 20 bucks.”
Among the shows offering discounted tickets are “Avenue Q,” “SILENCE! The Musical,” “Fuerza Bruta,” and “My Big Gay Italian Wedding.”
