INWOOD — Uptown hot spot La Marina Restaurant and Bar is closing for the winter in order to repair damage caused by Hurricane Sandy.

The waterfront establishment announced the closing Wednesday afternoon on Facebook.

"On the heels of an amazing inaugural season, La Marina NYC, Manhattan's most spectacular new waterfront restaurant, will be closing its doors temporarily to focus on repairing damage sustained from Hurricane Sandy, and to prepare for Spring/Summer 2013!" the message read.

"As winter takes hold, we will be hard at work coming up with new and exciting menu items, lining up great entertainment and talking to customers like you to make improvements for the 2013 season."

Since opening in June 2012, La Marina, located at 348 Dyckman St., has attracted celebrities such as Leonardo DiCaprioJay-Z and Beyonce. However, the restaurant's popularity has caused traffic and crowding headaches for residents.

The message did not indicate an exact date for the reopening.
