CHINATOWN — Braving chilly temperatures and the possibility of snow, hundreds turned out for the yearly East Meets West Christmas Parade, which spans Little Italy and Chinatown, on Saturday afternoon.

Chilin Li, 6, from Chinatown, watched the popular parade with her parents, John and Vivian Li. "I loved it. It was so much fun, my favorites were the dragons — they were scary — and Santa Claus."

Barbara May, 36, was thrilled by the mix of cultures celebrated. She also loved the dragons.

"This is the first time I've been and it was great. I think I'll be back again next year to see the dragons — they were amazing."
