Police Seek Man Accused of Shooting 16-Year-Old Girl in The Bronx

THE BRONX — The NYPD is looking for a man accused of shooting a 16-year-old girl in The Bronx last month.

The teenage victim was shot in the torso at Bryant Avenue and Bruckner Boulevard about 7:50 p.m. Nov. 11, police said.

She was taken to Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center in critical but stable condition, and she is recovering, the NYPD said.

Police are looking for Darnell Buffert, 21, in connection with the shooting. Police described Buffert as being 5-foot-8-inches tall and 150 pounds.
