LOWER EAST SIDE — Cops are asking for the public’s help to find three suspects they claim roughed up and robbed a cab driver on Grand Street early Saturday.
The 42-year-old victim picked up two men and a woman at Allen Street and East Houston about 4:10 a.m. When he dropped them off near Lewis Street, the suspects refused to pay the fare, sparking an argument, police said.
That's when suspects punched the cab driver multiple times before stealing his cell phone and fleeing west on Grand Street, cops said.
The driver was seriously injured, according to the NYPD.
