Man Charged With Murder After Staten Island Shootings

STATEN ISLAND — A man was charged with murder in connection with a shooting that left one man dead and another wounded on Staten Island Friday.

Tyrell Jackson, 24, from Port Richmond, was charged with second-degree murder and second-degree attempted murder for allegedly shooting Joseph Brown, 20,  to death on Bodine Street.

He's also accused of wounding another man, who neighbors identified as Brown's 21-year-old brother, about 6 a.m. Friday.

The 21-year-old was shot in the stomach and is in Richmond University Medical Center.

Jackson, of New Street, also faces burglary and weapons charges.
