Heidi Klum Hosts Sandy-Postponed Halloween Party

By Lisa Marsh | December 3, 2012 8:31am

LOWER EAST SIDE — Hurricane Sandy couldn't stop Heidi Klum from playing dress-up.

The supermodel and fashion mogul couldn't let a year pass without hosting her annual Halloween masquerade party, which had to be postponed because of the storm.

The "Project Runway" star held the belated shindig at Finale on the Lower East Side Saturday, adding special guest Santa Claus and turning it into a star-tudded benefit for the Red Cross.

Dressed as a glittery Cleopatra, Klum welcomed guests Russell Simmons, dressed as a member of his brother's legendary hip-hop group Run DMC, Sandra "Pepa" Denton, dressed as leopard, and Knicks' star Amar'e Stoudemire and his fiance Alexis Welch, wearing ornate masks.

Klum then paid it forward Sunday, leading a caravan of trucks filled with food, water and supplies for storm-affected families on Long Island.
