MASPETH — A Con Edison worker suffered second-degree burns to his face while testing equipment in Queens Monday night, Con Ed and officials said.
The worker was on the job at 55-30 46th St., a commercial building near 55th Avenue, when the flash occurred about 9:30 p.m., the FDNY said.
The worker was taken to New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in serious condition, the FDNY said.
The cause of the flash was not immediately clear.
The NYPD did not have information about the incident Monday night.
