Construction Worker Injured on Scaffolding on West 35th Street

NEW YORK — Firefighters used ropes to lower an injured construction worker from 30-foot-high scaffolding to a waiting ambulance on West 35th Street Tuesday morning, the FDNY reported.

The man's identity and condition were not immediately available.

He was hurt just before 11:30 a.m. while working at a construction site near 11th Avenue near the Jacob Javits Center.

It was unclear whether the incident occurred at the center.
