EAST ELMHURST — About 700 gallons of fuel spilled into a car rental agency near LaGuardia Airport early Friday morning, an FDNY spokesman said.

Fire officials used sand bags to contain the spill inside the Enterprise Rent A Car at 83-34 23rd Ave., across the street from the airport, that started before 5 a.m., a spokesman said.

It’s believed a gas pump ruptured, causing the fuel leak, fire officials added.

No one was injured in the incident, they said. Nobody at Enterprise was available for comment Friday morning.
